Family Fun in Ixtapa

Live from Ixtapa. It’s Saturday Sunday Thursday?

Hey, what day is it anyway? We’ve been kayaking, sailing, rock climbing, dancing, partying, swimming, sunbathing, shopping, eating, eating and eating. We are relaxed, exhausted, stuffed, invigorated, and have no idea what day it is. We must be on vacation!

Club Med Ixtapa is gorgeous. The entire family is having an amazing time. The teenage girls are meeting new friends by the pool and on the beach each day and staying up late every night. Little brother spent a full day with Mini Club swimming, learning hip hop, playing miniature golf, brushing up his archery skills, rock climbing, and working up his nerve to try the trapeze. I got a 3 hour nap on the beach (twice). My husband took a sailing lesson. My older daughter and I overcame our fears and went kayaking and sailing. I overcame more fears and tried the trapeze. Younger daughter is enjoying “hot yoga” without being trapped in an artificially heated and humidified room.

And today… we went into the town of Zihuatanejo. We all had the thrill of riding the bus into town and enjoyed a little local shopping. Then it was back to the resort for a late afternoon lunch, a brief siesta, and then change for another night of dining and dancing ocean side – today’s “dress code” is all black.

Every member of the family has a different idea of what vacation means but we all manage to be getting what we want while on this one.
